Nine-time award-winner, Victoria DeSilvio, CWD has been producing celebrity weddings, corporate, and special events for over 30 years. Victoria’s talent is developing one-of-a-kind experiences, making her a sought after wedding and event planner for some of the most important, exclusive weddings and events.
In her early teens, Victoria worked for her family’s resort business in the Pocono’s. By the age of 16, she was traveling to New York City as a buyer for her father’s specialty clothing store. Victoria graduated from Allentown Business School with a degree in Fashion Merchandise with a specialization in business management. After graduating, she worked in management for several retail stores before opening her own clothing boutique in Philadelphia at the age of 21. Victoria later moved to Las Vegas producing fashion shows for major resorts and casinos. After a brief stint in Vegas, she returned to Philadelphia, accepting a position at the John Robert Powers Modeling School as the Director of Students and Teachers. She lectured modeling, grooming, and etiquette courses to high schools and organizations, and her passion for the industry inspired her to open a modeling and production company producing pageants and fashion shows. Her team of over 50 models and dancers opened for the Village People in Wildwood in the early 70’s and performed throughout the tri-state area for several years. Victoria produced one of the largest celebrity bridal shows in Atlantic City, New Jersey featuring Wedding Couture Designer to the stars, René Strauss, and the movie Father of the Bride, along with celebrity models from day-time TV Soap Opera, All My Children.
Since then she has produced over 500 bridal and fashion shows encompassing fashion layouts, video production, and pageants. It was this experience that landed her a position with the Trump Organization in Atlantic City where she produced events for Miss America, Madison Square Garden, and HBO Top Rank Boxing, as well as private events for celebrities in the sports and entertainment industries. With a personal invitation from the president of Trump Plaza, she accepted the Executive of Player Development position, responsible for the casino’s VIP clientele. After a restructuring of the Player Development Department, she accepted a position as Director of Catering and Conventions at Bally’s Hilton Resort and Casino. After eight months with Bally’s, Victoria was recruited by the Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Nashville, TN. After only a few short months with Opryland, she was asked to restructure the company’s wedding department. Based on the outstanding results of the restructure, Victoria was in charge of developing Music City Events, an off-property events company which produced weddings, social and corporate events, along with the convention clients off site events. During her tenure at Opryland she was honored to produce four artist-member inductions into the prestigious society of the Grand Ole Opry. She also received certifications for Professional Development from Belmont University and Gaylord University.
After numerous years in the hospitality industry, Victoria partnered with Nashville and Las Vegas designer, Jeff Crabtree, producing distinctive and creative events in the music and social arenas. They were recognized for their creations by the media and their peers as “The Out of the Box” event producers. After a few years she moved on and accepted the position of Director of Special Events and Conference Services for Nashville’s only 5-Star property -- The Hermitage Hotel. Victoria was an instrumental member of the executive team during the hotel’s $19.0 million historical renovation, as well as helping the property earn their prestigious Five Diamond and Five Star rating.
Prior to joining forces with former client, Shannon Kasakevics, CMP, to develop Leave Them Speechless Events, Victoria was the Director of Marketing for Enchanted Brides Magazine.
