Key West Casual Weddings

We could not have been more pleased with the job Dan Leatherman did for us on 4/14/12. We wanted an intimate, casual, special wedding service and that was exactly what we got. Not only did Dan care about doing a great job for us on our special day, we loved spending time with him. The photographs and flowers were perfect! We are grateful and pleased.

Dear Dan,I take great pleasure in thanking you for all you did. A warm afternoon the palm trees swaying gently in the breeze. My bride in a white dress, Dan made it all posible. Our wedding ws all that we expected. We will never forget the beautiful setting and the wonderful vows that Dan provided. I loved Dan! I booked him several months before my wedding and anytime I had a question throughout those months (and even now after the wedding) he always answered me back quickly. He was very informative about the island and he picked out the loveliest little spot on Smather's Beach for my big day. He checked up on us a couple of times before the wedding and really made me feel like he cares about my day almost as much as I do. :) He showed up to the sight early and jumped right in - asking my husband and son what he could do to help and then preceded to decorate the sand with colorful daisies. My husband and I have talked about this a couple of times since the big day, we really felt a sincere connection with Dan. We felt his heart was with us - as cheesy as it sounds. I didn't feel like just another paycheck to him. He seemed genuinely happy for us and happy in general. Not knowing our vows beforehand, I had to try not to cry at the sweetness of the words he choose for us to repeat to one another. Dan is a real sweetheart and could not have picked anyone better to officiate our day. I couldn't have asked for a better day! Thank you so much Dan. You will always have a special place in our hearts.

We had the most fabulous wedding, exactly what I was wanting. Dan was so very helpful from the first time I emailed him. He gave lots of advice, and helped us figure out the details. It seemed like the vows Dan wrote were just for us! The were absolutely beautiful. Dan even used a better location that I was hoping for. He made us feel completely comfortable, and I think that is why we ended up with such beautiful photos. The weather was a little crazy, with lots of wind, but Dan found a way to make it work. Thank you Dan, for making our special day fabulous!

Dan was absolutely amazing at helping us pull off our dream wedding in only a matter of days! He was very responsive to each email I had sent, even better at settling my nerves and we breezed through the ceremony without incident! Dan wrote amazing vows and preformed the ceremony with such a personal feel, it was hard to believe that he hadn't known us for years! I would suggest Dan's services to anyone looking to have a spectacular wedding in the Keys!

Dan was amazing! Our wedding took place in Marathon, Florida and 3 days before the wedding our photographer cancelled due to a family emergency but she recommended Dan to us and assurred us we would be in great hands and that was very true. Our wedding was at sunrise on a boat so we set sail bright and early and even though he had to drive up from Key West Dan arrived promptly for departure. He was very fun and made us feel very relaxed for the photos. He definitely added to the enjoyment of our day and we now have awesome photos to look back on and admire for years to come that tell the story of our wedding. Let me first say, Dan is wonderful!! We were married on June 18, 2011 and I planned a wedding in 2 months from Vegas, At one point in my life I worked for the little white chapel where a bunch of famous people were and are married. I would coorindate weddingsand design flower If you're looking for a genuine opinion and review then read this. My husband and I are huge Jimmy Buffett Parrot Heads, so we fled the drive through wedding scence to pursue our wedding on the 2 x 4 island of Key West. I have a crazy family, we're a little nutty and difficult at times, we can get lost walking around the block, we were lucky enough that Dan met us at the hotel, which was recommended to us by him and he drove us downt he street with a smile on his face. Yes that is how pathetic we are, we could get lost going down the street. He put up with our crazy family with a smile on his face and a great heart. Everyone just loved the cermony, it was not over done or tacky, the vows were genuine and just lovely. He had our pictures sent to us at our hotel in one day and we left the Keys with our wedding pictures. How great is that. The pictures were beautiful. He also recommended to us the Palms Hotel. the family loved it. It is a historic hotel, the cutest place I think I have ever stayed, it was more like a bed and breakfast. The people who managed the hotel were just wonderful also and they all seemed to know Dan and everyone knew each other, it was wonderful to have that kind of experience. (if you're looking for a hotel that is fancy with hot tubs etc. don't stay there hence the word historic and that is exactly what you should expect, the hotel is beautiful.) We originally wanted a sunset wedding but due to another wedding booked before us, we could not have it. However, he recommended the Pier House for dinner and what an awesome recommendation. I have some of the most self taken, beautiful wedding photos at mallory square and on the deck of the pier house. I would have never knew this without his help. Dan loves what he does, he has the ability to connect with people and is just so genuine with his service, cermony, help and everything he has done for us. I hope one to day to go back to keywest on a another honey moon,and have him renew our vows. Before I booked Dan I search into 3 other people to do our wedding and I by far made the best choice!!! without a doubt!!! Thanks Dan for making our day so special.

Dan is the best! Key west casual weddings made our vacation / honeymoon the best trip we have ever taken. Even though we got Dan out of bed at 5am for a sunrise wedding he was most gracious and our ceremony was beautiful , comfortable, and very affordable ! On top of that he recommended a great florist on short notice and the best place to eat breakfast on the island. Would recommend key west casual weddings to anybody that ever asks me. 5 stars are not enough for you Dan .

Dan photographed our wedding in April. The picture quality was outstanding. He even got some candid shots which made us laugh when we first saw them. Those candid shots still make us laugh. Dan will be in touch with you from the moment you contact him. His prices are reasonable. He is a gentleman. His manner is pleasant and easy-going.

My husband and I did a vow renewal on Smathers Beach in Key West. Dan was SUPER helpful throughout the planning process. He returned emails promptly, offered great suggestions for other services we might need (cakes, etc...) and was very professional - but friendly. It was obvious he enjoyed his job and really took pride in making it a great experience. Our pictures were delivered the next day to our villa and we were very happy with them. I did a lot of research before choosing Dan. I would recommend him to any bride.
