Pan Paradise Steel Band

Dexter played the steel drum for our reception and did an amazing job! Very etertaining, friendly and professional.

Pan Paradise was simply wonderful! They played what I wanted to hear and made the sounds of my wedding unique and Caribbean - like me! Dexter handles his customers with efficiency and is a very nice gentleman. You will be happy to book him for your wedding, or other event - and for the party mood - he can get the crowd moving!

I wasn't sure what to expect when my son and new wife to be told me they were going to have a Steel Band playing. I was indeed pleasantly surprises when we walked in with their music - it was a delight to hear the sound of steel drums in the garden. It made it special and "exotic" - very nice touch for a special day. They were on time, ready and knew what to do. Professional.

Dexter was great to work with, he was very flexible, always pleasent, very responsive and professional. He went above and beyond of what he should have done. All the music was great and they played it exactly the way I wanted it.

I had hired Dexter to play at my cocktail hour and sent him a 50% deposit almost a year before the wedding date. I then unfortunately had to cancel his services 5 months before the wedding and realized that in the contract I was only obligated to have paid him 25%. I e-mailed him several times and he told me the "check was in the mail".... "Oh I forgot to send it I will send it tomorrow." Then he just ignored my e-mails for the next 3 months until I told him I was going to take him to Help me Howard if I did not receive my money back along with the multiple e-mail conversations of him telling me i would receive my money. Well, that was abouth the only thing that got me my refund back. He was not a pleasure to work with.

They were great and provided professional services and lovely ceremony/cocktail hour music.

This by no means a talent issue, but a business. I hired Dexter (or rather his company) to send one steel pan player for your cocktail hour. My wife's family is from Trinidad and I thought this would be a nice aspect. I paid my fee, sent instructions, directions, timetable, etc. On the day of the event. The player was 40 minutes late for the hour he was supposed to play for. He went to the wedding planner's house first. How he even managed this mix-up is beyond me. He got to our venue late, played for 20 minutes and that was it. Mind you this was not a cheep endeavor; it was over $300 for the hour. I emailed and phoned Dexter after the event and he told me he would refund 50%. I thought that fair (even though I got less than 50% of what I paid for). After a few more emails reminding him, he sent me check for less than 33%. His response was, "that's what I decided to send." Never do business with this man. It's all, "ya mon, no problem" until you have a problem, then it's "ya mon, that's YOU'RE problem."
